WSOP Final Table Poker Pro Selling his Action

Thu, 3 Oct 2013

The final table of the 2013 World Series of Poker main event gets underway on November 4th and at least one of the poker pros at the table will have sold some of his action. Poker professional Amir Lehavot who is second in chips is planning to sell about half of his action. He said on Twitter that he is keeping 50% of his action but he wants buyers for 30%. He already sold 10% to a friend of his and his parents have another 10%.

May people are surprised that Lehavot is selling so much of his stake and even poker pro David Benefield said he would buy some of the action if he wasn’t also at the final table.

While it might sound like a good idea to get in on the action and buy a piece of Lehavot at the final table it may not be. Based on calculations that were made it would take a third place finish by Lehavot for his investors just to break even. And there are no guarantees at a final table.

The final table of the WSOP main event begins on November 4th with JC Tran leading with 38 million chips. Lehavot has just under 30 million in chips in second. He is followed by Marc McLaughlin in third place, Jay Farber in fourth, Ryan Riess in fifth, Sylvain Loosli in sixth, Michiel Brummelhuis in seventh, Mark Newhouse in eighth and David Benefield in ninth.

ESPN will be providing coverage of the main event final table beginning on November 4th and concluding on November 5th.
