Valley Forge Services has recently launched the latest release of it's Texas Hold’em, Stud or Draw Poker Decision Enhancement freeware.
This decision enhancement software available from http://www.pokerstatistics.org uses up to 10,000,000 random, but repeatable, deals. If used properly, it should help you optimize your critical poker decisions as a function of your holding, the number of players in the pot (2 to 8) and the number of cards per player (e.g. 5, 6 or 7 card stud). It also allows you to predefine your starting cards or specific betting hands. The many features available enable you to perform “what if” analysis to various holding so you can improve your mathematical betting logic of when to open, check, fold, raise or reraise.
In Texas Hold’em, you have options of selecting the number of players from 2 to 8, selecting from zero to two of your hole cards, and/or selecting any or none of the three (community) flop cards. The other two community cards, all other player hole cards and the remaining unselected, if any, of the three flop cards or your hole cards will be randomly selected. You can then observe how well you would have fared compared to the other players in the pot for any number of deals up to 10,000,000.
In 5 or 6-card Stud Poker, you have options of selecting the number of players from 2 to 8. In 7-card Stud Poker, the number of players can range from 2 to 7, being limited by the number of cards in the deck. For all stud poker games, in addition to being able to predefine any and/or all of your starting cards, you can also predefine any or none of your opponent’s upcards. These capabilities help you decide whether to check, fold, raise or reraise when opponent upcards reveal one or more of your key cards of interest. You also have the ability to preclude any one suit and up to 4 ranks from showing in your opponents up cards for any or all (depending on available remaining cards in a single deck) of the up card streets. As with the other games, you can then observe how well your decisions would have fared compared to the other players in the pot for any number of deals up to 10,000,000.
In Draw Poker, you have options of selecting the number of players from 2 to 8. You can perform keeper card analysis to help optimize your strategies. From a purely mathematical standpoint, for example, should you keep a high kicker card such as an ace or king with trips to draw one card, or should you draw two cards?
In all of these games, the number of players in the pot plays a critical role in optimizing your poker strategy. To improve your poker game, download your freeware copy of Texas Hold’em, Stud or Draw Poker Decision Enhancement Software now from: http://www.pokerstatistics.org
