One of the most widely known payment processors in online gambling,
the Canadian-based Citadel Commerce has backed hurriedly out of the
US market in what seems to be a domino-effect reaction to the Neteller
departure this week.
Parent group ESI Entertainment Systems Inc, has announced that the
e-wallet will no longer offer financial processing to online gamblers
in the United States.
ESI's statement comments that "....this decision was made
by the ESI Board of Directors in the light of recent US Department
of Justice enforcement actions against financial processors executives”
in a clear reference to the recent arrest of ex-Neteller directors
and Canadian entrepreneurs Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre.
