PokerShare is back with a vengeance

After settling a legal dispute with it's previous licensor Excapsa Software, PokerShare is now back with a vengeance on the Tain Network. PokerShare offers it's players a share in the company through the Poker Share Trust by simply playing and accumulating Share Points. The site is currently only open for previous PokerShare players until the beta program has been completed successfully.

PokerShare was closed unilaterally by it's licensor Excapsa back in November, 2005. It was generally assumed that Excapsa's largest licensee, Ultimatebet, pushed Excapsa to shutdown PokerShare. Many UltimateBet players transferred their accounts to PokerShare in the months preceding it's closing, because of the better deal they could get at PokerShare.

PokerShare even went so far as to file suit against UltimateBet/Excapsa for an astonishing £100 million. A spokesman for PokerShare stated it has now "amicably settled [the] disagreement with Excapsa Software and Game Theory."

Following the settlement PokerShare is now re-launched on the Tain Network. For the time being the poker room is only open for previous PokerShare players until all beta tests are concluded. PokerShare expects to go fully live in a couple of weeks.

The Tain Network is the largest poker network in Europe with over 6,000 simultaneous real-money players at peak times. The network is owned and operated by the Swedish Tain AB, an allround gambling software developer founded in 1999. Other clients running on the Tain Network are Expekt, BetSafe and EuroLinx Poker to name a few.

PokerShare is also planning to launch an online casino called CasinoShare in May.
