Full Tilt accuses Mansion Poker of false advertising

According to an open letter from Full Tilt Poker to the poker industry Mansion Poker published a press release on June 9 in which they improperly stated that three members of "Team Full Tilt" would be participating in their upcoming Mansion Superstar Challenge.

The three members of "Team Full Tilt" that supposedly would be playing/coaching in the Superstar Challenge were Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer and Mike Matusow. However Full Tilt says the three players never agreed to participate in the tourney, and in fact weren't even contacted about it by Mansion Poker.

Full Tilt adds that another Team Full Tilt member, Jennifer Harman, had plans to attend the event, but has decided to boycott the tourney now, due to "Mansion Poker's obvious disregard for the truth and egregious actions."

The Mansion Superstar Challenge is a televised $1 million Speed Poker tournament scheduled for July 12 at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. Three online qualifiers will compete with three poker pros for a total prize pool of one million dollar.

The online qualifiers do have a real shot at winning the tourney, because they start the tourney with a larger stack ( 70,000 vs 50,000 in chips) and they each have their own personal poker coach, also professional poker players.

We've asked Mansion Poker to comment on Full Tilt's accusations, but they didn't respond before the deadline of this article.
