game following this week's announcement that six times World Series
of Poker bracelet winner Men “The Master” Nguyen has signed
on to endorse poker legend Doyle Brunson’s site.
A four time Card Player Magazine “Player of the Year,”
Men “The Master” has done well at this year’s World
Series of Poker (WSOP), placing in the money in four events so far.
Men was born in Vietnam and later moved to Malaysia before becoming
a naturalized citizen of the U.S. in 1986. He won his first poker
tournament in 1987 and after placing in the money in the 19th, 20th,
and 22nd WSOP, he achieved his first win and WSOP bracelet in the
seven card stud event at the 23rd WSOP in 1992. Currently the leader
for all time money finishes in the WSOP with 49, Men has won almost
$5 million dollars in his career as a professional poker player.
With his unique understated style and graciousness, Men is also a
star at tournaments outside the WSOP. He ranks number 1 in final table
appearances worldwide with 149, winning 72 of those events. In addition
to his six WSOP bracelets, Men is also the holder of two World Poker
Open bracelets.
Known as “The Master” not only for his poker playing prowess,
but also for the fact that he mentors younger Vietnamese players.
Men also donates part of his winnings to help build temples and schools
in his native Vietnam.
Men has just recently produced a fabulous instructional DVD that will
