Full Tilt Poker launched a beta version of it's MAC poker software this week. The new software, that behaves exactly like it's PC cousin, was developed especially for computers with MAC OS 10.3 or higher installed. A 800Mhz or faster processor is recommended as well as 512MB of RAM or more.
The MAC market is an estimated four percent of the PC market, but growing, due to the success of Apple's iPod products. Other poker rooms that are available to MAC users are PokerRoom.com, which runs on a no-download Java platform, Pacific Poker, GamesGrid Poker and B2BPoker. The last two poker rooms are more focused on the European market, which makes Full Tilt Poker one of the few poker rooms that offers a complete MAC solution to the U.S. market.
Full Tilt says MAC players can interact without problems with the 10,000+ PC player base, and all promotions are also fully available to MAC players. The software was released in Beta this week, but Full Tilt has tested it extensively, and says "there are no noticeable glitches."
Anyone who plays at the beta MAC version of Full Tilt Poker and finds any bugs will be rewarded an exclusive Full Tilt baseball cap. Send your bugs to macbugs@fulltiltpoker.com.
