The winner of this contest in the frozen Scandinavian north could
take home Euro 525 000. We're talking the European Poker Tour's four
day Scandinavian Open poker event which takes place in Copenhagen
next year between January 17 and 20.
Direct buy-ins were in big demand by international poker pros and
have already been sold out, but aspiring champs can still gain entry
by fighting their way through the various satellite competitions on
leading online poker sites. These have low buy-ins and the victors
can win themselves travel and entry packages for the big event next
year, where they can pitch their poker skills against some of the
top players in the world.
One of the sites offering a qualifier is Titan Poker.com, but there
will be others that a diligent search can find.
With a prize pool of Euro 1.8 million there will be stiff competition,
but a sizeable number of players will find themselves "in the
money" even if that massive first place eludes them.
