A Vegas entrepreneur has come up with the ultimate in eye-catching
poker tournaments to titivate and intrigue a wide audience and attract
television exposure, too. He plans a strip poker match between World
Series of Poker champions and Playboy Playmates, most of them novices
at the game.
Tentatively planned for Las Vegas next February, the World Series
of Strip Poker will offer a guaranteed winner's prize of at least
$500 000, and television deals and casino partnerships are already
being negotiated, says the man behind the scheme, Jeff Brinks.
Brinka says that Playboy's Miss August, Colleen Marie has already
signed on to play. She and other Playmates will be challenging the
winner and the finalists from the WSOP to play against them, but ".....may
have an advantage because they will be using a software program to
calculate odds and help them make correct decisions during the tournament."
"To say we are excited about the World Series of Strip Poker
would be an understatement," said Brinks. "If you think
winning the $500 000 will be a walk in the park, I hope you don't
mind taking that stroll in the nude!"
