CelebPoker got some good publicity and celebrity interest recently by attending the 2005 World Music Awards backstage. The stars were pampered with free gifts and merchandise as they returned from stage and walked into the CelebPoker booth.
The World Music Awards is an international awards show, with an estimated audience of over one billion viewers in 160 countries each year. Artists are honored based on the number of records they sold, as administered by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
This year's show was held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, and presented by Carmen Electra and Desperate Housewives star James Denton. Mariah Carey's comeback was crowned with awards for World's best-selling pop female artist, World's best-selling R&B artist, and Female entertainer of the year. Rapper 50 cent was awarded World's best-selling pop male artist, and Destiny's Child was a clear winner with three category awards: World's best-selling pop group, World's best-selling R&B group and World's best-selling female group of all time.
CelebPoker
reported a very positive response from the celebrities who attended
the show, and hopes many of them will be found playing on it's site
this fall. Among the celebrities stopping by to talk a little poker
were Bon Jovi, Paula Abdul, and Nick Lachey. Supermodels Victoria Silvstedt,
Carrie Stevens and Tracy Bingham were also seen around (and on top of)
CelebPoker’s tables during the event.
A lot of photos were taken by the people from CelebPoker, but we chose
to post one of Victoria Silvstedt (at the left) because of it's artistic
qualities.
