Event 31 of the 2005 WSOP - the $5,000 shorthanded No Limit Hold Em was a world record occasion at the finish this week as the 6 seat, star-filled table counted no fewer than 18 previous WSOP bracelets - an average of three to a player.

And the spectators were also anticipating that veteran Doyle Brunson might be up for his record tenth WSOP bracelet if he could take this one.

Facing off against each other were Doyle Brunson, Layne Flack, Minh Ly, Scotty Nguyen and Jason Lester.

In a typically exciting WSOP game, it came down to Brunson and Minh Ly, the former with a significant stack advantage that enable him to take the game, $367 800 in prizemoney...and that tenth bracelet. Minh Ly put up a good fight and took home second prize of $203 715.
