Cassava Enterprises, the parent company of Pacific Poker, has established an independent arbitrator called E-resolve for resolving poker collusion and other problems for players. Below we've listed the letter from Pacific Poker where they announce their new independent arbitration process. More information about E-Resolve can be found here.
As our industry grows, fraud is obviously a concern, so this is just to update you on the levels of security and anti-collusion policies that we have established at Pacific Poker.
We take EVERY complaint very seriously and we have a team of analysts who review all game play whenever an allegation is made. We have always had the most up to date software and analytical tools to prevent any form of collusion and we continually monitor their effectiveness in order to find ways to improve.
By taking action against people who we have found to be colluding, we naturally then come under fire for withholding funds when blocking these people who are acting in collusion. 888. Com has therefore been pushing for an independent arbitration process to be established and made available to any member who feels that they have been treated unfairly.
We are delighted to announce that this has now been established; it is called E-Resolve and consists of well known Poker Professionals, overseen by independent industry experts.
We believe that EVERY site should follow our example so that there will be an overall increase in the level of security throughout the industry.
We at 888.com pride ourselves on having the best available level of security in the industry. A World Class Poker Professional has recently examined our policies, methods and anti-collusion software and has confirmed that, in his opinion, Pacific Poker is the safest site on the internet. This has been enhanced by the creation of E-Resolve, the arbitration board to whom we are happy to be transparent. In fact, it was our lobbying for such an independent body that brought about its creation. We are delighted to see our vision being implemented, thereby increasing the institutional acceptance of our Industry.
I must mention that our privacy rules ensure that we do not enter into discussions over individual cases with anyone, other than the individual members involved and E-Resolve (when applicable).
One fundamental point that must be made is that when a case is taken before the arbitration board (as is happening at present) and if we are successful in proving our case we will donate this money to charity and will NOT withhold the money in question.
I hope that this underlines our total commitment to fighting collusion and providing the safest site for ALL our members.
I would like to wish you all the best of luck at the tables!
Regards,
John M.
