The upcoming Bravo series Celebrity Poker Showdown will gather celebrities at the poker table for the fifth time on January 25 2005. Twenty-five stars are scheduled to take part in the competition, with a generous $250,000 prize at stake.

Among the celebrities will be Brad Garrett, Catherine O'Hara, Sara Rue, Jason Alexander, Nicolas Gonzales, Robert Wagner, Kevin Weisman, Heather Graham, Andrea Parker, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Fred Willard.

According to Casinoman.com, the new season, hosted by Dave Foley ("Will & Grace," "The Kids in the Hall"), will feature commentary by famous poker guru Phil Gordon. The tournament will consist of six two-hour episodes, and each episode of the showdown will feature five celebrities. The winners of the No Limit Texas Hold'em poker battle will receive a piece of the Cadillac Quarter Million Dollar Prize Pool that will go to a charity of their choice.

Each week will see a new match, sending the winner to the sixth and final episode - the championship final itself.

Hidden cameras will give the inside track on the hands the different players are holding, and closed circuit TV will enable viewers and eliminated players to watch the remainder of the matches from the 'Loser's Lounge'.

The winners of the first four Celebrity Poker Showdown tournaments held so far are Nicole Sullivan ("King of Queens"), Maura Tierney ("ER"), Seth Myers ("Saturday Night Live") and Mekhi Phifer ("ER"). The Bravo series has become extremely popular, averaging more than one million viewers per episode.

Celebrity Poker Showdown, officially sponsored by Cadillac, is produced by Picture This Television in association with Bravo.
