Chartwell Technology Inc. launched it's new Poker Nexus network earlier this week. Poker Nexus currently has two European poker clients, but Chartwell expects to sign on more European customers before the end of this fiscal year.
Chartwell is a Canadian gaming software development firm established in 1998. Earlier this year, in May, it acquired Micropower Corporation. Based on Micropower's poker expertise, the company was able to deliver a scalable feature-rich poker environment, targeted to appeal to a large number of poker operators.
Poker Nexus offers Texas Hold'em, Omaha high, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, as well as support for single and multi table tournaments for all these games. All games and tournaments come with fixed limit, pot Limit and no limit betting structures.
The software has a fully integrated backend, from which operators can manage and market their players. It also supports a wide variety of payment methods, through it's CyberBanx e-commerce engine.
Darold Parken, Chartwell's President and CEO, commented: "We are confident that our new poker community launch provides the perfect environment for success. We anticipate poker related revenues to be a substantial contributor to Chartwell's over-all revenue in the years to follow."
