Celeb Poker is targeting the UK poker market with a tournament....and players could find themselves facing the infamous ex-rogue money trader Nick Leeson.

CelebPoker.com is to host a star studded poker tournament at Southend on England’s South Coast this weekend. The UK celebs lined up for the Turbo No Limit Tourney include soccer stars, Paul Ince, Kenny Miller, Teddy Sheringham, Matthew Etherington, Simon Davies, with Scott Robinson, Chris Brooks, Nick Leeson and many more.

The GBP 1000 + 50 buy-in tournament, will take place at the Rendezvous casino this Sunday (28th November) to celebrate the launch of celebpoker.com’s new Player Room software. The cutting-edge new package allows poker fans to play their favorite celebrities at games such as limit, no limit, pot limit poker, and multi table tournaments, with up to 10,000 players online at any one time and tournaments every hour of every day. It is also one of the few sites that enables Mac users to play, as well as Windows and UNIX.

“Our new software offers fantastic graphics with quick game play to ensure that the action and efficiency of our games is the best on the Internet, said David Donovan, CEO of CelebPoker. ”Key differences over other software is that players have the choice of downloading the software or playing our non-downloadable version which allows people to play at the office, at an internet cafe, in fact anywhere that has an internet connection.”
