The Sporting Exchange, the company behind Betfair, the world’s
largest betting exchange, today launched its new internet poker site
Betfair Poker.com. The site features No Limit/Pot Limit games and
multi-table tournaments amongst other games, resulting in an entertaining
and secure gaming experience for players.
Although not linked directly to the parent site the poker room will
be marketed to the same customer base in the United Kingdom, and internationally.
It will not be offered to residents of countries which ban offshore
poker products, such as Australia.
“Betfair is the clear leader in the global sports betting
exchange market, and the launch of betfairpoker means the brand is
moving to new places,” said Steve Ives, a director of
Betfair Poker. “Betfair Poker will be the best integrated
poker platform on the Internet and we are confident of rapidly establishing
ourselves as a leader in this high growth market.”
Betfair Poker’s site has been developed using software licensed
from the CryptoLogic Inc subsidiary, WagerLogic Limited.
Betfair Poker is owned and operated by SEL (Curacao) N.V a Netherlands
Antilles Corporation with its offices located at New Haven Office
Center, Emancipatie Boulevard 31, Curacao (a subsidiary company of
The Sporting Exchange Limited).
