The aggressive style used by poker pros has some key concepts including the ability to change gears. Poker pros change gears and never let their opponents get into a comfort zone. The professional poker player is able to take advantage of every situation. For example, if a pro is playing in a tournament and it is getting close to the money bubble they will relentlessly attack players just looking to make the money. Online Poker ProsJanuary 19, 2012 - Many of the best poker players in the world regularly play online poker. Some of these poker players are not as well known as the Doyle Brunsons and Phil Iveys of the world but they can be just as good. Poker Pros Change Gears QuicklyDecember 23, 2011 - You have probably heard the term changing gears before when it comes to poker. Changing gears is much like a change up pitch in baseball where a fastball pitcher will all of a sudden come in with a slow hanging curve to totally trip up the batter. In poker you want to do the same thing so your opponents dont know what you will do next and professional poker players do this very well. Many poker players are easy reads and reveal themselves for who they are after just a few poker hands. The tighter players that only raise with powerhouse hands such as Aces or Kings will not win a lot of chips with those hands because the other players will likely fold their hands. Then there is the opposite type of player, the maniac, who raises all the time and that destroys the respect and credibility of his hands. Poker Pros Excel at Reading HandsNovember 22, 2011 - One of the skills that separate professional poker players from average players is their ability to read hands. You can almost see a progression from a player who goes from a newbie to a professional simply by how well they read opponents poker hands. When a player begins playing poker they usually just see their own hand and the board. The player that starts to learn the game and make some moves will see his own hand, the board, and he will start to try to put his opponent on a hand. The next stage is where a player sees his own hand, his opponent's hand, and what his opponent thinks he has. The final stage is where the poker pro is and that is where he sees his own hand, his opponents hand, what his opponent thinks he has plus if his opponent is capable of deception.
